I spent most of the day Saturday at the Pleasant Grove Heritage festival. This years community art project had the members of the community translating their names into Viking runes and writing them on a small piece of wood. I will eventually be assembling them into a viking ship. I hope it turns out as cool as last years art project where we created the city logo out of leaves.
We also had 7 artists do a quick draw and we auctioned off their art work to benefit the library and arts in Pleasant Grove. They were so fun to watch and interact with. I met some new artists who's works I have never seen. The most fun was having our portraits done! Those who know us well, are they pretty accurate depictions?
